I'm Jess. New Zealand born. Italian based.
I cut my horse-girl teeth working around the old continent as a groom, trainer and guide.
I am now (and forever) based in picturesque rural Tuscany. When I’m not exploring on horseback, drafting an article or chasing my daughter to do her homework, I’m doing my best to help equestrian businesses communicate what is great about what they do or sell.
For nearly 15 years I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with amazing clients—creating tailored trips for established agencies, taking part in international horse shows, writing articles, photographing products and so much more. I've travelled the world and I've befriended innumerable internet strangers while navigating the depths of social media. BTW, feel free to low-key connect with me that way too...
I’ve been working as a freelance writer since 2012 and I love the variety and challenges that this line of work brings!
I've worked for a wide range of businesses, from well-known magazines to small startups and brands and while I've written extensively on the equestrian industry, I also love to write about travel and cultural topics too.
My published work has included everything from horseback travel in Spain, to blind wine tasting events and lesser-known festivals in Tuscany.
My writing career began in 2012, and over the years I have written for a variety of websites and magazines, some of these are Baroque Horse Magazine, Cavallo Magazine, Chrome, Trail Rider, Chronicle of the Horse, New Zealand Horse and Pony, Horse Science, Untacked, Cellar Asia, Hello Italy Tours and more.
If you want someone who will put in the time and effort to understand your idea, service or product, why not send me a message?
